Apply: No application submission is required. Every new UC Beckley student will be reviewed for consideration for this BAF scholarship, according to the specific criteria and level of financial need.
- Raleigh County students attending University of Charleston-Beckley;
- Pursuing a health science/medical related field.

Dr. Tieche and Dr. John H. McCulloch founded Beckley Hospital. After Dr. McCulloch’s death in 1939, Dr. Tieche continued to guide the hospital, became the President of the Bank of Raleigh, and was active in civic affairs until his death in 1964. This endowment fund provides scholarship assistance for area students enrolled in a health science field at MSU. It is now benefits this same field of study at University of Charleston-Beckley.
