• Demonstrate both need and academic ability;
• Preference given to WV residents;
• Must be a full-time student.

Apply:   No application submission is required.  Every new Bluefield State University nursing student will be    automatically   reviewed for consideration for this scholarship, according to the specific criteria and student level of financial need.

This fund provides scholarships for nursing education and honors “Doc” Moore and his wife, a nurse he met in a World War I hospital. They practiced in Affinity, Killarney, Lillybrook and East Gulf. He served as President of the Board of Education and was a Director of Beckley National Bank. Originally for MSU, it currently benefits a Bluefield State University nursing student. Their son has been a generous donor to this fund.
