Eligibility:

• Students must be educated in public schools of Fayette or Raleigh counties;
• Full-time students majoring in the field of education;
• Rotating schools include Concord University, WV Wesleyan College and Bluefield State University.

The late Lee Lilly and her husband, Judge C. Berkley Lilly, established this scholarship fund in honor and memory of her mother who died in 1986. Mrs. Bowyer was first a school teacher and later postmaster at Danese in Fayette Co. One of 7 daughters and 5 sons born to Andrew Etchison and Jane Ellen Vines Fink, Mrs. Bowyer always retained strong interests in education. This fund will aid aspiring teachers.
