Randall Broyles Scholarship Fund
Joyce Broyles, a former BAF office manager and long time supporter of our community foundation, established this scholarship fund in loving memory of her husband, Dr. Randall Broyles. Randall grew up in southern West Virginia and graduated from Woodrow. An outstanding student, he was also recognized for excellence on the football field. He continued his pursuit of higher education earning a PhD and becoming an educator in his own right. He worked in Delaware before returning to Raleigh County. Always passionate about the importance of education, it is fitting to have a scholarship fund as a permanent memorial to this scholar who devoted his life to teaching, teachers and students. Recipients of this renewable need and merit based scholarship must be a college qualified graduate of a Raleigh County public school.
