Scott Christiansen Memorial Fund
Scott was only 42 when he died in Dec 2014, after a 16 month valiant battle with cancer. He left a wife, four children, his parents, a brother and hosts of friends who cherish his memory. A year later, one such friend sent a significant memorial gift to BAF assuming it could be added to a fund named for Scott . . . but none existed. However, this thoughtful memorial gift began an unexpected chain of events. The Foundation had a challenge grant from the Massey Foundation that would match donations to existing or new unrestricted endowments. In short order, friends and family added their gifts. A lasting memorial has now been created for Scott, recognizing his devotion to his family, his adopted community, his friends and his profession as a pharmacist. His wife Jennifer noted, “Our children share his genuine, positive disposition, radiant smile, and fun loving attitude.” Scott Evan Christiansen made a difference.
