Wilda Marie Gill Todd created a permanent endowment at BAF as a memorial to her husband, their family and their strong work ethic. This fund will generate income for need and merit based scholarships to be awarded to college qualified graduates of SSHS. Her husband, George Edward Todd, died in 1993 at the age of 74. He had been a 20 year employee of Fairchild, Inc., where he worked in research and development. The Todds have one daughter, two grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

Confirmed in Compliance with National Standards Beckley Area Foundation is a member of the National Council on Foundations, Philanthropy WV, Beckley-Raleigh County Chamber of Commerce, Charitable Gift Planners of WV and WV Nonprofit Association. The Foundation will make available for public inspection the last three years of its tax documents, including Internal Revenue Service Forms 990 and 990-T (if applicable), any audit, and its tax exempt letter. If the request for any of these documents is made in person, the requested documents will be provided on the day of the request if possible. If the request is in writing (including email), copies will be provided within 30 days of the request. The requestor may be charged a reasonable fee for the cost of copying, plus storage. Questions concerning documents should be addressed to either the Executive Director or Board Chair of the Foundation.
