The WWHS Class of ’63 took less than six months to reach the $10,000 minimum for a permanently endowed scholarship fund at BAF. They have raised funds and then given the money away for 20 scholarships over the years. This was made possible due to donations from class members, auctions at their reunions and sales of memorabilia. The class wanted the award to be made in perpetuity, but there was increasing concern regarding who would continue to raise the funds. Their 50th Reunion Committee felt it was time to create a BAF endowment that would forever honor their class and ensure the continuation of this assistance to WWHS students. Merit and need based scholarships are awarded from this fund for college qualified graduates of WWHS.
