Athas and Helen Soter Memorial Fund

Freda Soter and her sister Sula, now deceased, created this endowment to honor their parents, ethnic Greeks who were born and reared in Katirli, Turkey, before immigrating to the United States. Sula was a supervisor in the business office of the telephone company. Freda was a claims representative for the Social Security Office. Half of the income from this fund will go to the Beckley Concert Association and half will go to St. Stephen’s Episcopal Church for its outreach, beautification, and arts programming.
