Burlington United Methodist Family Services Fund in Memory of Michael Douglas Richmond

Ray and Bobbie Richmond created this designated fund in memory of their son, Michael Douglas Richmond. Mike was a fixture in the community as an Allstate Insurance Agent and he was incredibly passionate about helping the people of West Virginia. He was actively involved in Boy Scouts of America with his son Creek, and enjoyed volunteering with the Special Olympics. He was always willing to lend a helping hand to those who needed support.

The fund will support the children of Burlington United Methodist Family Services. Distributions will be used to support the needs and wants beyond the basic necessities.

Confirmed in Compliance with National Standards Beckley Area Foundation is a member of the National Council on Foundations, Philanthropy WV, Beckley-Raleigh County Chamber of Commerce, Charitable Gift Planners of WV and WV Nonprofit Association. The Foundation will make available for public inspection the last three years of its tax documents, including Internal Revenue Service Forms 990 and 990-T (if applicable), any audit, and its tax exempt letter. If the request for any of these documents is made in person, the requested documents will be provided on the day of the request if possible. If the request is in writing (including email), copies will be provided within 30 days of the request. The requestor may be charged a reasonable fee for the cost of copying, plus storage. Questions concerning documents should be addressed to either the Executive Director or Board Chair of the Foundation.
