Charles R. and Shirley M. Weaver Scholarship Fund

Eligibility
  • Residents of Wyoming County, WV graduating from Wyoming East High School;
  • Must attend a West Virginia in-state institution;
  • Community service based award. Must have a minimum of 50 hours in student's four year high school career;
  • 500 word essay with a community service focus.

Charles and Shirley Weaver established this scholarship fund in honor of Shirley's 65th Birthday. They chose to create this scholarship to give back to Wyoming Co., where they both grew up.  This scholarship emphasizes the importance of community service. The Weaver's have a strong dedication to community service. Shirley and her friends established the City of Mullens Foundation, Inc. in 2014.  This award will give back to students who also feel a strong desire to serve their community.
