Coach Willie Barbera Memorial Scholarship Fund
Family and friends of William "Willie" Barbera felt compelled to establish this permanent endowment to remember an outstanding coach and loyal friend. Willie died June 26, 2017 at his home in Florida while preparing to travel back to West Virginia. Having a coaching career that spanned 6 decades, Coach Willie touched many lives especially those of his runners. Coach Barbera successfully led the WWHS Men's Cross Country Team and Track Distant Team, including his grandsons, Andrew and Chris Barbera. The successes of his life are easily seen through the teams he coached and the family he raised.
