  • Need based;
  • Woodrow Wilson High School matriculating seniors;
  • Minimum 3.0 GPA;
  • Must have played high school basketball at WWHS for senior year;
  • ​Essay component.

The Dwayne Richardson Memorial Scholarship Fund was established by Keyisha Richardson in memory of her son Dwayne. This fund will provide scholarships to male and female basketball players graduating from Woodrow Wilson High School. 

Dwayne passed away in 2021.  Dwayne was a junior at Woodrow Wilson High School and had a GPA of 4.06. He was a member of the Woodrow Wilson Basketball Team, ESBA/Team Mayo AAU/Travel Basketball Team and also a member of the Raleigh County Health Sciences & Technology Academy.

Confirmed in Compliance with National Standards Beckley Area Foundation is a member of the National Council on Foundations, Philanthropy WV, Beckley-Raleigh County Chamber of Commerce, Charitable Gift Planners of WV and WV Nonprofit Association. The Foundation will make available for public inspection the last three years of its tax documents, including Internal Revenue Service Forms 990 and 990-T (if applicable), any audit, and its tax exempt letter. If the request for any of these documents is made in person, the requested documents will be provided on the day of the request if possible.  If the request is in writing (including email), copies will be provided within 30 days of the request. The requestor may be charged a reasonable fee for the cost of copying, plus storage. Questions concerning documents should be addressed to either the Executive Director or Board Chair of the Foundation.
