Brothers John and Ralph Rinehart along with their six other brothers and sisters have established a permanent memorial to their parents. Among these eight children, there are ten undergraduate degrees and twenty grandchildren carrying on a thirst for education. This fund will generate income to be used for an annual scholarship for a college qualified graduate of Wyoming East High School in Wyoming County, WV. Hettie and Johnnie were both from Wyoming County.

Confirmed in Compliance with National Standards Beckley Area Foundation is a member of the National Council on Foundations, Philanthropy WV, Beckley-Raleigh County Chamber of Commerce, Charitable Gift Planners of WV and WV Nonprofit Association. The Foundation will make available for public inspection the last three years of its tax documents, including Internal Revenue Service Forms 990 and 990-T (if applicable), any audit, and its tax exempt letter. If the request for any of these documents is made in person, the requested documents will be provided on the day of the request if possible.  If the request is in writing (including email), copies will be provided within 30 days of the request. The requestor may be charged a reasonable fee for the cost of copying, plus storage. Questions concerning documents should be addressed to either the Executive Director or Board Chair of the Foundation.
