James and Carol Beasley Griffin Fund 

Drs. Charles and Frances Sayre Beasley’s intent in creating this fund was to honor the personal and professional associations of their daughter and son-in-law. Although longtime residents of the New York City area, Carol has Beckley roots and James has extensive southern West Virginia mining industry associations. Charles and Frances were able to benefit from an unrestricted matching grant opportunity from the Massey Foundation. They both express their appreciation for the matching opportunity, “as well as the efforts of all those whose compensated, uncompensated and in-kind efforts have enabled so much for so many.”
