John L and Virginia Wilcox Christian Education Fund
This endowment was established shortly before the death of Virginia Wilcox in Oct. 2008. It honors her memory and that of her husband John L who died in Jan. 2007. John graduated from WWHS and spent most of his working years in the coal mining and trucking industries. Virginia, daughter of Frank and Jennie Harper, grew up in Harper Heights, Raleigh Co. After they married, they bought their dream home in Nimitz and raised four children. This designated fund will make annual distribution to the Bluestone Baptist Church for support of Christian education programs in Summers County and its contiguous counties.
