Southern West Virginia Fellowship Home in Memory of Rocky Lee Joseph Kelly and John William Songer 

Two area couples, Rick and Debbie Gray and Tony and Joanne Kelly, created a fund that will allow many people to make a difference. At the same time they are remembering the lives of their brothers who each died from problems associated with addiction. Debbie and Joanne wondered if friends and family would consider making charitable gifts to a worthwhile permanent endowment rather than find, purchase and deliver presents during the holidays and upon birthdays. The idea worked; not only immediate family members but dozens of friends responded to the opportunity with donations large and small. Income will be used by the Fellowship Home to care for men with alcohol and drug addiction. The fund continues to grow and serves as a model for others who might be looking for a meaningful way to pool resources and give charity a place in the holiday season.
