Susan Landis Youth Philanthropists Fund
This endowment was established to provide funding for the Susan Landis Youth Philanthropists Program. The SLYP program of students ages 14 to 18 are tasked with learning about leadership and how a community foundation functions.
Before the inaugural board was formed Susan passed away in July 2017, following a sudden illness. At that time, this fund bearing her name and benefitting the SLYP organization was started. Distributions from the fund will benefit SLYP in their activities and grantmaking duties. In the words of a SLYP member during a luncheon honoring Susan, “We all leave behind a legacy, but Susan set a tremendous example by serving others and leading with integrity.”
