Turner Family Fund

William and Cynthia Turner have started this donor advised fund to benefit the citizens and the community of Raleigh County. The Turner’s extended families live in this area and have all made significant contributions in business, civic organizations, their church, local schools, and the community in general. Bill and Cindy have laid the groundwork for their children to continue this family tradition by naming daughter Jennifer Sarah Turner, M.D. and son William Lorin Turner, as future donor advisors for this fund. Bill and Cindy are former members of the BAF Board of Directors and Cindy also served as Board President.

Confirmed in Compliance with National Standards Beckley Area Foundation is a member of the National Council on Foundations, Philanthropy WV, Beckley-Raleigh County Chamber of Commerce, Charitable Gift Planners of WV and WV Nonprofit Association. The Foundation will make available for public inspection the last three years of its tax documents, including Internal Revenue Service Forms 990 and 990-T (if applicable), any audit, and its tax exempt letter. If the request for any of these documents is made in person, the requested documents will be provided on the day of the request if possible. If the request is in writing (including email), copies will be provided within 30 days of the request. The requestor may be charged a reasonable fee for the cost of copying, plus storage. Questions concerning documents should be addressed to either the Executive Director or Board Chair of the Foundation.
