Webster County Community Fund

Realizing the value of creating permanent endowments for their community, the people of Webster County have established a geographic fund at BAF. Their motto is “Building a Foundation for Our Future.” While BAF will handle administrative duties, an advisory committee from Webster County will review current local concerns and opportunities and recommend how income from the fund will be spent to benefit their county. Webster County Memorial Hospital and Board of Education employees are utilizing payroll deduction gifts to continue enlarging this fund while also helping build several designated funds.

Confirmed in Compliance with National Standards Beckley Area Foundation is a member of the National Council on Foundations, Philanthropy WV, Beckley-Raleigh County Chamber of Commerce, Charitable Gift Planners of WV and WV Nonprofit Association. The Foundation will make available for public inspection the last three years of its tax documents, including Internal Revenue Service Forms 990 and 990-T (if applicable), any audit, and its tax exempt letter. If the request for any of these documents is made in person, the requested documents will be provided on the day of the request if possible. If the request is in writing (including email), copies will be provided within 30 days of the request. The requestor may be charged a reasonable fee for the cost of copying, plus storage. Questions concerning documents should be addressed to either the Executive Director or Board Chair of the Foundation.
