Yurick Family Fund

Following the untimely death of local musician and civic leader John Yurick, friends and family established a fund that will benefit the Beckley Concert Association, Theatre West Virginia and the West Virginia Dance Company. John, his wife Barbara, and his children Sam, Nick and Alice have each made extensive contributions to the arts and general quality of life where they live and work. John provided assistance and composed music for both TWV and WVDC for some 39 years. He taught students of all ages, many of whom won honors and awards. He worked with the Beckley Concert Association for many years as a volunteer board member, board president and eventually their first Executive Director. John performed solo piano and played with various groups in a variety of styles throughout the region. Additional donations in any amount are welcome to this “Building over Time” arrangement.
